Here I am going to tell you
everything about the Thermoforming Machine. According to the industrial
requirements, a large variety of Thermoforming Machine are available.Thermoforming is a process where
a plastic sheet is heated, formed, trimmed and customised in a vacuum
environment to create usable, streamlined products. The sheet, or film when
referring to thin gauges and certain material types, is hot in an oven to high
enough temperatures in order to be stretched on or into a mould and cooled
before the trimming process.
In its most basic form,
Thermoforming Machine is the machine which uses the Thermoforming Process to
produce smaller plastics objects. The plastic used to make objects is stretched
over a mould using vacuum. This method is often used for making sample and
prototype parts that you want to explore.
In more complex matters, however, large Thermoforming Machines are
utilised to heat the bright coloured sheets and make them useful for mass
amounts of products. With this machine they can also trim those pieces off
after they have been formed into whatever the company may need in terms of
packaging or aesthetic appeal.
We “Sri Sai Thermoformer” are the
Thermoforming Machine Manufacturer & Supplier. We give the best industrial
leading price on the machines with an after sale service through our experts. Here
we will discuss the Thermoforming Process with the materials used in the
process.
Process Of Thermoforming Machine
Thermoforming Machine involves
three main processes : preheating, heating, and moulding. In the most common
method of continuous thermoforming that uses continuous vacuum forming
machines, a plastic sheet is fed using an indexing system by means of
individually pinched chains (or similar mechanism) that include pins that
pierce the sheet and transport it through an oven for heating to forming
temperature. The heated sheet then indexes into a form station where a mating
mould and pressure-box close on the sheet with a vacuum applied underneath
coupled with pressurised air on top ranging from 50 lb/in2 to 1125 lb/in2 (24
kPa to 65 MPa) so as to pull the material into or onto the mould along with it
simultaneously being heated to its forming temperature (referred to as flash
time).
Materials which are used in Thermoforming Machine process :
There are many materials which
are used in the process of Thermoforming Machine. But we are giving you 7
mostly used materials here These are as follows :
Thermoplastic PolyOlefin – It is commonly known as TPO. TPO is
available with higher impact properties with a high gloss finish. It is basically
used for outdoor working
Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene – ABS is commonly used material
because it has high rigidity and good strength. It is available in all colours
and textures.
Vinyl – It has high durability,
resistivity in flame. And also a good insulator of heat and electricity..
Acrylic – Acrylic is erosion resistant and clearly visible. To make
a plastic object it can be easily fabricated. It is easily available in many
colours and modified grades.
High-Density Polyethylene – It is commonly called HDPE. It is Chemical free and resistant to affect.
HDPE is a cold temperature material.
Polypropylene – PP is Chemical free and rigid in nature. It has
high temperatures and is not stable dimension wise.
Polyvinyl Chloride – It has another name which is PVC. PVC is rigid
in nature. It is a flame backward by nature and limited.
